The front is a lion;

fighting
For what it wants.
This predator lies
In waiting for its
Next prey.
The trenches are a
dragons killing whats
in sight.
Thousands of men
live in there like
gophers,ending
many hardships.
In the trenches men
starve to death
from hunger due
to the lack
of food
they are terrorized
by rats.
They have
became much more
numerous lately.
The trenches are deplorable
with holes of crawling
roaches, snails,
centipedes.
Bombardment is the
thunderous
gun shots blazing
In the sky.
Wake up in the night.
The earth
Booms.
Heavy fire is
falling on us.
