INT. ETV STUDIO AT DSU - EVENING

ITS LATE AND THE SELECTED SEVEN MASS COMM STUDENTS ARE
SEATED AROUND THE TABLE PITCHING AND DISCUSSING THE NEXT
EPISODE OF THE STUDENT PRODUCED SHOW THE HOT SPOT. EMIR IS
GOING OVER ANGLES FOR THE STORY.

EMIR

(STRESSED) Alright yall, its getting

late and we need to agree on a theme

For the next episode of The Hot Spot.

ERICKA RUSHES INTO THE ROOM WITH CHURCH FINGER IN THE AIR,
LATE AS USUAL.

TAMEKA

Emir, I dont know why you guys dont

just go with my idea. You know its

good.

INDIA

If we knew it was good we wouldve

used it, so thats a no. And Tameka,

no shade but you werent even

officially selected for this group.

(Sotto) You actually crashed the class

ERICKA

I promise you, you cant. So can we

talk about Spring Fling?

NO ONE PAYS ERICKA ANY ATTENTION, AND CONTINUES TO DISCUSS

WHAT TO COVER ON THE SHOW.

I dont know whats going on over

there, but any-way.

I dont either, but we need to keep it

EVERYONE AGREES, EXPRESSING HOW THAT IS A REALLY GREAT IDEA,

NO KNOWING THAT ERICKA ALREADY SUGGESTED THAT.

Dawg, I dont even know what Spring

Fling is.

MAX

Wait, why are yall talking about

Spring Fling? We gotta get this work

MARQUELL

Maybe if you stop smoking so much,

Lets stay on topic. Spring Fling,

thats great! The Mass Comm Message,

the radio station, NABJ and PRSSA are

all covering it, so the production

team should get right on it. So what

are we gonna do?

INDIA PULLS OUT A FOLDER WITH THE RUNDOWN OF SPRING FLING IN

A DRAMATIC FASHION

So I had a couple of ideas...

going to talk about Spring Fling?

yall realize no one actually told me

what Spring Fling is? So what is

Spring Fling? Are there gonna be

shorties there? Whats up?

BRYERE ELBOWS ERICKA IN A FLIRTY WAY AS HE SAYS HIS LINE

Spring Fling is a concert, and then we

got a party, and its lit.

to report, Ericka youre marketing and

advertising, Quell, we need you on

sound, Max you can edit and Bryere we

need you on camera.

BRYERE

Why am I behind the camera man? Im a

superstar, and I should be in front of

the camera.

MARQUELL

Ay yo, youre a freshman, chill out.

Since everybody knows me, I, should be

on camera.

QUELL BREAKS THE FOURTH WALL AND WINKS

PRSSA just informed me that there are

no more media passes, and no more

tickets either.

ERICKA LOOKS AT EMIR.

ERICKA

So, what are going to do?

THE GROUP STARTS TO PANIC.

BRYERE

Why yall tripping? We can just sneak

in.

THERES A BRIEF SILENCE AMONG THE GROUP.

INDIA
