Permanent Display Case Outline

Description of Proposed Exhibit

The Exhibit in the permanent displays case will be on the theme of the connection and
partnership of the Peterborough Museum & Archives with the Fleming Museum Management
and Curatorship program. The theme will be split into three categories, each of which will be
housed in one of the three sections of the permanent display case.

The first section will explain the history of the partnership


-They have been working together for 23 years (began 1994)
-More information on the history will be included based on details gathered
-The information in this section will be more from the beginning years of the partnership
-Props will include: invitations to the exhibit openings

The middle section will show the later history of the partnership up to now
-This section will include quotes and pictures from staff, faculty and past and present students
-Will also include a greater context of our exhibits and how they were created (what we were
learning from staff and faculty to help make them possible)
-Picture of our class from the beginning of the year in the curatorial centre
-Additional pictures of staff and faculty?
-Props will include: exhibit materials, and manual dexterity assignments and material care
assignments (encapsulation, mounts, glued pots)

The last section will be looking towards the future of the partnership
-Text will talk about the future of the partnership and how it moves forward
-Where are they now feature, with where past students are working (success stories)
-Props general equipment (gloves, brushes, etc.)
