Stage 3- Procedures:

Motivational/Anticipatory Set (introducing topic while engaging the students)

The topic introduction will be a question of each type of interest learned so far on the board. The students will then be
asked to complete the questions. Once done I will connect this to a portfolio question that requires the exact same math
to complete to connect the ideas

Main Procedures/Strategies:

The procedure will be examples of different portfolios that not only show connection of the concepts but also show
diverse culture with finance. 3-4 examples (shown at the end of this lesson plan) will be presented and then an example
will be asked where the students must create their own portfolio, which will give them a short practice run of the
midterm assignment.

Closing of lesson:

I will introduce the midterm unit project so the students understand what we will be doing next class. I will then give
them an exit slip to check for understanding.
