ECUR 325 Assessment Point of View

Tyler Read

The pictures above are how I see

assessment. The ability to correctly understand the
progress the students have made during the lesson or
unit. Using assessment, we can see if the students are
still confused on the material or if they have had a
lightbulb appear and understand the content that is being
presented. Assessment is not just for the teacher it is also
for the student so they also can understand that they
have understood the material and can show that
knowledge to there peers.

This is what assessment means to me inside the

classroom and is why using summative and formative
assessment in the class is vital. It allows for both teacher
and student to know that the classroom has been an
effective learning environment for the content being
presented and that progress has been made by everyone
in that environment.
