Professional Goals
Short:
1. To obtain a 3.5 GPA for the semester I will continue to turn in assignments on
time and also continue to get the most out of my assignments by doing them
to the fullest extent.
a. Action Plan. Begin studying for midterms 2/22/17. Also keep up with
current assignments and future assignments. Get help when needed
and keep in contact with my teachers. Begin slowly getting ready for
finals and papers in advance as well.
2. To obtain a passing score on the Praxis I will sign up for it by February 28 th
and buy the practice guide to help me study.
a. Action Plan. I will sign up for the Praxis within the following week, I will
also be purchasing the study guide that comes with the test. I will
make sure to take my test by the end of April. If I should fail again I will
sign up immediately after finding out my results.
Long
1. To graduate from South Dakota State University by May of 2018, I will
continue my class load and prepare myself for all student teaching
opportunities. I will also continue to do get at least a B in my classes and also
make sure that I am being prepared for class.
a. Action Plan. I will complete all required classes by May of 2018. I will
also sign up to complete my student teaching in Aberdeen, SD. I will
also require myself to get at least a B in all of my classes in order to
ensure I have the proper credits and GPA to graduate.
2. To obtain a job before I graduate South Dakota State University, I will begin
doing research on different schools that are hiring by February of 2018. I will
also be in contact with these different schools by March of 2018 learning their
mission statements, objectives, and their overall educational practices.
a. Action Plan. I will begin looking at different schools that I am interested
in applying to no later than February of 2018. I will begin contacting
these schools and applying no later than March of 2018. I will learn the
mission statement, the schools objectives, as well as their educational
practices. I will also make sure that my resume and cover letter are
both up to date.
