Lecture Notes Adjective

Definition: Adjectives are words which describe, point out or tell numbers or quantity
about noun or pronoun. Or It answers us three things, what kind, which one, how many or
how much.

Types of Adjective
1. Adjective of Quality (What Kind) it tells us quality, state, condition or
characteristics
2. Adjective of Number or Quantity
3. Demonstrative Adjective
4. Interrogative Adjective

2. Adjective of Number or Quantity

a. Quantity: it is used with non-countable nouns like water, sand, milk, petrol etc
Some, large quantity, half, small, piece,
b. Number: it used when exact numbers of things or objects are told.

Definite adjective of number 1,2,3,4 (cardinal) Ist, 2nd, 3rd (Ordinal no)
Indefinite few, small no of, all, many, several, various and some etc
3. Demonstrative Adjective point out and specify a noun
That, those, This, these, such

4. Interrogative Adjective
