Unit 8: Developing a creative media production project

Unit 8 is to provide you with the opportunity to make use of the

skills, knowledge and understanding developed through the previous
units to complete a creative media project. The unit will provide you
with a measure of self-directed learning, and an opportunity to begin
to clarify your longer-term goals through your choice of an activity to
explore in greater depth.

Vibe productions would like you to produce a production fit for a

public exhibition and to demonstrate your skills.

You can produce

1. A short film
2. A music video
3. A stop motion
4. An advertising campaign
5. A web based interactive photographic
portfolio (only if this is what you
intend to do in year 2)
6. A documentary (please discuss with
marking teacher as this has not been
taught)

You can focus on the following roles

(groups must cover all of these roles)

1. Producer and editor

2. Camera
3. Props / mise-en-scene / make up
4. Sound production (audio)

Your productions have no specific time / length must follow medium

conventions
