This action research aimed to improve on average pupils mastery of the
materials properties through station method. The study was conducted for 12 weeks and involved three pupils at one of the Chinese primary school in Tamparuli area. Selection of participants was based on their average achievement during diagnostic test. Station method has been selected for this approach as it provides an opportunity for the pupils to make their own exploration and discovery, is practical and pupil-centred. Self-exploration and self-discovery will provide enjoyment and simultaneously enhance pupils knowledge of the particular subject. Researcher has fully adopted the model of Kurt Lewin (1948). The findings from the three instruments found that there was an improvement on pupils mastery of materials properties. As a conclusion, station method has been able to improve on average pupils mastery of concept of materials properties. As a follow up to the study, researcher suggest that the station method can be applied and studied extensively towards other science topics simultaneously giving emphasis on HOTS elements.
