To have two 4'x4' table attach together you will need to not glue one of the long outer edge boards on each table.
Use screws from the inside of the table or have those boards attach with a draw hasp.

Assembly Direction
* The goal is to have a fairly snug fit. These connections will only
have glue so the
pieces can not have gaps where they meet. When marking and
cutting remember
that your saw blade has a width so you need to place it correctly.
Part A laid out.
5. Lay out the parts and dry fit them together. If they are way to snug
than either cut away
some more material or use sandpaper so the fit is correct.
6. Take the pieces apart and then assemble using wood glue. If the wood
is not straight you
may need to clamp the pieces together until the glue dries.
7. You will need to screw the corner pieces together as well. If you do
you need to pre-drill a pilot hole for the screw. This will keep the wood
from splitting. The screw should be flush to just barely inset into the
wood. Do not drive it in to far as this may make the wood split.
* Alternately you may use a finishing nail instead of a screw.
This is the complex and time consuming part of the build. Take your time
and measure out well. When this is done the rest will move along fairly
Part B Added and testing fit. quickly.
This design will insure your top has nice 90 corners, is light, and strong.
The corners will need either screws or
finishing nails to hold it together.

1. Place a locking caster on the wheel base D and mark where you will need to drill holes
for the carriage bolts. Note that the locking casters go on the side of the base legs that is
opposite the upright support.

1. Attach the hinges to the base legs as shown. To attach place the
hinge with the top half of hinge folded onto the top of the top board.
This will ensure proper spacing and operation.
Note that the hinges are attached to the top board on the same side as
the upright supports.

Base Leg attachment to table Top
1. Attach the second Base Leg Top F to the hinges and then screw that
board to the underside of the table top using 1-1/4 inch screws.
The easiest war to accomplish this is to lay the top upside down on the
floor or on top of saw horses. The place the base legs in position to
screw on the connecting top piece to the top.

Drop Leg Assembly
4"
1. Attach table top Connection Boards J to the table with 1-1/4 inch
screws. They should be 4 inches back from the edge.
* Refer to drawing for the table you wish to build for placement. The 4
foot square table has 2 long connection boards that are used for both
drop legs.
2. Attach the drop leg assembly by screwing the hinge into Connection
boards J as shown.
* This is a little tricky. You can do this with the table in the folded up
position and then clamping the leg in place OR place the table upside
down on the ground as you did with the base leg assembly.

Table Surface Choices and Assembly
You can use any type of material for a surface. To make it magnetic I
used galvanized flashing and cut to fit. Then used spray glue to glue
that to the hardboard.
You can glue felt down or just cut to fit so you can change out colors.

Finishing the sides
1. Attach sides L and M so that the bottom is flush with the table top
bottom. This will create a lip so dice will not roll off the table.
Screw these to the top using 1-1/4 inch screw from inside and
underneath the table top. If you dire them to far in the may protrude
through the side. (You would have to drive them in quite a ways) If this
does happen just back the screw out a little.
Do not use glue on one long board side. This will be the piece you
remove on both tables to then place them together. A couple spring
hasps underneath the table should deb enough to keep them together.
