HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT COURSE
Introduction to the Program
This three months’ long Professional Diploma Program is designed to train
mid and senior-level hospital managers. It aims to enable participants to
understand the role and functions of hospitals and to study the strategic
management, planning and policy issues that arise in the development of
contemporary hospital and healthcare systems.
Scope of the Course
It is envisaged that the course will introduce the participants with modern
management concepts as applicable in hospital settings. This will equip
them with vision and skills to adopt evidence-based problem solving
approach in their own job place. A hospital’s structure, medical and
diagnostic resources, support services, skilled manpower, finances,
material management, decision-making processes and quality
management issues will be discussed.

Teaching Methodology
The learning environment will be one of active classroom discussion
involving the application of lecture material to various hospital scenarios
including case studies. Multiple Choice Questions / Assignments / Tests
would form a necessary element of course delivery.
Target Audience
• Health professionals already working in managerial positions of
hospitals, large-sized organizations, NGOs, etc
• Health personnel (including doctors) interested in management
oriented jobs of hospitals (public as well as recognized private
sectors)
• All those interested in utilizing latest concepts of hospital
management
Eligibility
Science graduates from HEC recognized universities. Working experience
in a healthcare setting is preferable.

and bring a wealth of experience to the course from a diversified range of

Program Fee
The fee breakdown for the program is as follows:
Registration Fee: Rs. 3,000/- (Non-Refundable)
Tuition Fee: Rs. 8,000/- per month
Besides registration and tuition, it also covers cost of course material / CD,
certification, light refreshments and study visit(s) to hospital.
Program Schedule: Two days a week & three hours a day
