Statement of Originality

There are numerous reasons that I want to pursue a career in social work. I
believe that my personal experiences give me a unique view into this field. I have been
around mental health all my life, and I have experienced it myself. I think I have a good
grasp of what would help people in certain situations. Ive developed my own coping
mechanisms that I could pass onto others. Throughout my 2 year period at Durham
College, I have learnt a lot about myself, and I continue to become more passionate
about helping people.
