SUBJECT: AMENDMENT TO THE A.O. 5 SERIES OF 2011 re: GUIDELINES

IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING
PROGRAM IN DAY CARE CENTERS

RATIONALE

The Supplementary Feeding Program (SF) is part of the DSWDs contribution to the
Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program of the government. Given
the context of ECCD, SF should also be accessed by the children under Supervised
Neighborhood Play (SNP).

In view of this, the Administrative Order No. 5 series of 2011, Amended

Guidelines in the Implementation of Supplementary Feeding Program in Day
Care Centers, is further amended as follows:

Day Care and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNP) Children.

Section II. Project Description to read as:

The Supplementary Feeding Program is the provision of food in addition to the

regular meals, to currently enrolled day care and supervised neighborhood play
children as part of the DSWDs contribution to the Early Childhood Care and
Development (ECCD) program of the government. For CY 2011, food

Section V. Components, item no. 3 last sentence to read as:

The venue of the feeding will be in the day care center and in areas where SNP is
conducted.

Section VII. Target Beneficiaries, to read as:

3-4 year old children and those 2 and 5-year old children enrolled in SNP and day
care centers nationwide including Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).

This order takes effect immediately upon approval.
