MY FATHER AND MY MOTHER

My fathers name is Alejandro. He is from Chiclayo, Peru. My dad is thirty

nine years old. He is tall and tan. He has got a beard, black hair and brown
eyes. He likes football and he is a goalkeeper. He likes a team called Union
Peru but when we watch football matches here in Spain he usually supports
Bara.

My mothers name is Babsi. She is from Lima, the capital of Peru. She is
thirty eight years old. She is younger than my father. She has got brown
hair, brown eyes and is also quite tan. She likes classical music.

MY SISTER

My older sisters name is Aroa. She is twelve years old. She lives in Lima,
Peru where my mom is from. She has got straight hair and brown eyes. She
is very tall and thin. She is very intelligent and her favorite subjects are
Math and English. I talk to my sister on my tablet at least once per week.
We practice English and French on the tablet. She is going to be a chef
because she likes cooking. She loves to make a typical dish called
ceviche. She loves the beach and goes swimming in the ocean. She
enjoys doing sport and she loves rap music. Her favorite color is purple and
brown. She will visit me here in Spain, next year.

MY AUNT

My Aunt Alejandra lives in Cusco, Peru. She is my moms older sister. My

aunt is very pretty. She is short in height and thin. She has short brown
hair, and beautiful brown eyes. My aunt is always happy. Her favorite color
is orange. She visits Machu Picchu often, as it is very near. Machu Picchu
was a sacred Inca city, re-discovered in 1865. Inca were the Native people of
Peru. My family and I visited my aunt last summer when its summer here
in Europe its winter in the Southern Hemisphere. When we went to Machu
Picchu we took a bus from Cusco really early in the morning. We ate Andean
bread, a special dessert that is common in Cusco.

VISITING PERU

If you visit Peru you can try a delicious food called ceviche. Ceviche is fresh
fish with lemon or lime and spiced with aji, which is a type of chile. We often
add onion and coriander to ceviche. In Peru there are people that speak
Spanish, Quechua and Aymara. Quechua and Aymara are indigenous
languages. The flag of Peru has three stripes - two red and one white one in
the middle, with a shield. Its hot in Peru. There are a lot of places to visit,
besides Machu Picchu Iquitos, which is in the Amazon Rainforest, and the
Nasca lines, which are ancient designs that some people think could have
been used to talk to aliens. The last time I went to Peru I visited a city called
Trujillo, where my father was born. Trujillo was the center of the Chim
culture (1100-1400 AD), whose Chan Chan citadel is the largest pre-Hispanic
mud-brick construction in the Americas. Chan Chan was fun to explore, its
like a labyrinth thats easy to get lost in.
