Koreans Vacations
Have you traveled to Korea on your vacation? If not, do you
have a plan to visit Korea? Youll surely love the vacation spots in
Korea because this is where you can see the best nature has to offer,
flavored by the countrys ancient remnants, and enhanced by Korean
sophisticated facilities.
Spring and summer are great times to visit the rolling green tea
fields or the beaches and waterfalls of Koreas beautiful tropical island.
During fall and winter, you can explore mountains and enjoy
world-class skiing and mountain climbing.
There is so much to do on a vacation to South Korea, from
exploring the natural wonders including the high-reaching mountains
and sixteen major rivers, to shopping at some of the traditional markets
and visiting the most sacred temples.
Seoul is considered to be among South Koreas best places to
visit. This city is highlighted by numerous skyscrapers and an array of
architectural masterpieces. Several historic structures are still standing
in some parts of the city.
Korean vacations are a fantastic alternative to the usual beach
getaway and provide a uniquely northeast Asian experience on the
Korean peninsula. There is a variety of vacation packages that make it
easier than ever before to travel to South Korea with relative ease and
without breaking the bank.

Korean Public Etiquette
Etiquette is very important not only to be respectful, but also to
learn about a culture and what its people do. When visiting to a new
country, it is good to know the basics of local etiquette and general
politeness. In South Korea, etiquette is very important, much more so
than in many western countries.
There are a few rules for riding the bus or subway to ensure that
you do not get in trouble. Seats at either end of a subway car are
reserved exclusively for the elderly, disabled, or pregnant women. Give
up your seat to someone who is more in need if the train or bus is
very full. It is good to wait for people to leave the train before
attempting to enter. On the bus, you should only enter through the
front and exit via the middle door.
Its really important to learn how to behave in public places. It is
essential to keep quiet in public places. Koreans find noisiness very
rude. Korea also enforces strict smoking bans in public places, such
as cafes, schools, and playgrounds. Now more places offer smoking
areas separated by glass walls.

Korean Seasonal Foods
Korea is marked by four distinct seasons. Koreans have
traditionally believed that eating fresh seasonal foods help them to stay
healthy throughout the year. In fact, seasonal foods are highly
nutritious, so they help enhance immunity and also have the best flavor
when in season.
In spring, many festivals are held to showcase seasonal foods of
different regions, drawing large crowds of tourists. Try delicious spring
fruits, vegetables, and seafood to boost your energy.
Are you staying in Korea during one of the hottest and most
humid times of the year? You feel like sticking your head in an ice
bucket or are you losing your appetite and feeling tired. Try
naengmyun. The hand-made noodles are served fresh with a delicious,
ice cold soup stock, sliced cucumbers and Korean pear. Samgyetang
is a bowl of hot broth with a whole chicken that is stuffed with
glutinous rice, ginseng, jujube, ginkgo nut, and garlic. Patbingsu is
made of shaved ice topped with sweet red beans and ice cream.
In fall, the harvest is at its peak and the new crop of the year is
rich, as are the hearts of the people. One of the major foods prepared
and eaten during the Chuseok holiday is songpyeon, a Korean
traditional rice cake that is stuffed with healthy ingredients such as
sesame seeds, black beans, mung beans, cinnamon, pine nut, walnut,
chestnut, jujube, and honey.
The sweet and savory winter street snacks like bungeoppang,
hotteok, baked sweet potatoes, and hoppang, along with the traditional
winter dishes such as gimjang kimchi, tteokguk, and manduguk are
some of the most loved warming winter treats.
