Dear Families,

First off I would like to say I am extremely excited and

honored to be teaching your children this week. I am
so excited for all the new material your children will be
teaching me. My name is Amanda Himer. I was born
and raised in Staten Island, NY. I relocated to Myrtle
Beach about 4 years ago. I am currently taking
classes to complete my final semester at Horry
Georgetown Technical College. I will accept and walk
across the stage this spring and accept my degree in
Early Childhood Education. I also plan on furthering
my education to get my bachelors degree in
Elementary Education at Coastal Carolina University.
Once I complete my degree I am hoping to get a job in
a public school teaching Kindergarten or 1 st grade. I
have always had a passion for working with young
children. Ever since I can remember I would make my
mom take me to the local teacher supply store to pick
up a variety of materials to teach my stuffed animals.
I also babysit for a lot of families in around my
neighborhood. My partner Penny and I have a lot of
fun and educational lesson plans in store for your
children throughout the week and I hope they enjoy this week as much as we do.

My name is Penny. I am currently attending classes at

HGTC, I plan to further my education once I graduate
this summer from Tech. I planned to attend Costal
Carolina to get my bachelors degree and teach in
the public-school system. I want to tech either
kindergarten or first grade. Ive always wanted to
work with children and to teach, I would pretend
teach my two little brothers over summer break from
school. I am also a parent I have a two-year-old. I am
extremely excited and blessed to have this
opportunity to work with your children. I hope they
benefit and learn something from me the wee k I will
be with them. I cannot wait to see how your child will
help grow as a teacher and help me through the
week!
