Section E: Conclusion

Sun Zis Art of War have taught us the lessons for victory and leadership. It is not only be
ready to be applied on politics and business but also can be practiced in our personal lives.
The theories and philosophies are applicable in educations and also to any organized project,
effort and business. Many knowledge that rely on ancient texts and ideas are used for advices
and guidance until today.

Throughout the process of completing this assignment, we have learnt the history and
strategies used by Noah Education Sdn Bhd that make it one of the top education services in
the China. Even there is rapid technology development, competition, globalization and
economic crisis, Noah Education Sdn Bhd has went through all the challenges and is still
moving forward nowadays.

As an overall, through this assignment, we had learnt the knowledge from the ancient people
and those knowledge are very useful and can play an essential role in our modern lives.
Therefore, we will try to apply the teachings that has been passed down from the past in our
modern life appropriately as a sign of appreciation.

Equifax is an international credit bureaus as well as one of the largest global provider for
credit rating and reporting services. It is a multi national company that is founded since
1899 and nowadays it has a strong footprint in North America, Europe and Latin America.

From Sun Zis Art of War,ideas and strategies from one of historys most brilliant military
thinkers are invaluable references for modern day business circles. Some applications of the
strategies from the past can be seen in Equifax operations. One of it is Forces. It
emphasizes the use of creativity and innovation by Equifaxto engage the enemy and stay on
top of competitive market position. Besides that, it is followed with Military
Maneuvers.Equifax is sensitive with the external environmental changes and managed to
make quick respond in the dynamic worldwide market nowadays. Third philosophy being
applied by Equifax is Waging War.Time value of money is a concept to establish quickness
and decisiveness with well preparation in decisions making and strategies
implementation.Lastly, Equifax has implemented the philosophy of Nine Battlegrounds.
Equifax moves only when there are advantages to be gained such as changing company name
as Equifax to turn over a new leaf.

During the SWOT analysis of Equifax, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of
Equifax are being determined. Equifax possess a strong point in its diverse revenue streams
and technological development. Strong performance of the USCIS segment and robust
business model allow it to expand greatly in current age. Equifax also have some weaknesses
such as concentrated geographic operations in US, dependence on third parties such as
internet, high tax retention and decreased sales rate. However, strong growth in the fraud
detection and prevention market and positive outlook for the global big data analytics market
provide invaluable opportunities for Equifax to overcome its weaknesses. Besides that, as a
multi-national company, it also being challenged by some external threats especially
worldwide high competitive pressures and stringent regulatory environment. Based on the
analysis, we suggested and discussed some recommendations on Equifax that would make it
advance further in its business. For example, the recommendations are oversea expansion to
new countries, obtain human resources in security breaches field, and joint venture with
search engines to design an innovative service.

In conclusion, Equifax is a information solutions provider to customers and businesses. It
gains market presence and survive in competitive rivals through broad product portfolio and a
wide range of services, including raw data and analytical insights based on user requirements.
