1. Chairpersons speech

1.1 Mdm Ann Joyce as the head of English Panel expressed her appreciation and thanks to
all the English Lang teachers for attending the first meeting. She hopes that all the
teachers will gave their continual support and cooperation to all the programs/activities
for the year 2017 and to carry them out successfully to enhance the English proficiency
in the school.
2. Formation of English Language Panel Committee

2.1 The English language panel comitee members 2017 are as follows :

3. Standardised Format for Yearly Scheme of Work and Daily Lesson Plan.
3.1. All the English Language teachers are advised to use the same format for the
Yearly Plan & Daily Lesson Plan (see attachment).

4. Teaching and learning process

4.1 Teachers are asked to be eveready and follow the KSSR assessment and the
reflection after each lesson taught to be written at the end of the day.
4.2 The new format for the English Exam Paper are to be used commencing last year.
Teachers are advised to give thorough exposures of the new Format to Pupils.
4.3 Teachers are advised to use various methods, teaching materials and approaches in
teaching and learning process for an effective lesson.
4.4 Teachers are also reminded to mark the students exercise books daily/regularly.

5. English Language Panel Activities for 2017

5.1 The highly immersive programmes still continues this year with the same activities.
5.1.1 Assesment will be done by the headmaster, teachers, students and parents and
community using the self-assesment tool provided.
