PM stresses human resource development for industrial revolution

The 47th World Economic Forum Annual meeting was held in Switzerland beginning
on January 17, 2017. There were over 3,000 participants including 50 state leaders
and government officials from 70 countries world wide. Attendees also included the
United Nations and World Trade Organization. Vietnams Prime minister, Nguyen
Xuan Phuc addressed the gathering and spoke about his countries current
aspirations for economic growth which include a large focus on human resource
development within their businesses. He said that his country can no longer count
on exhausting natural resources and cheap labor to achieve fast and sustainable
growth. 2016 saw 110,000 new businesses in Vietnam providing a positive start in
achieving their goal of 1 million new enterprises, assisting 600 business with 2,000
projects aimed at helping businesses have access to novel technologies. Vietnam
will also host the APEC Summit in 2017.
