Mrs. Verdes is following the VBCPS curriculum in all areas. She develops plans, instructs and reevaluates her plans
for remediation and enrichment in small group settings. Mrs. Verdes is using differentiation in small group reading and
will begin this tactic with small group math when she starts the unit on measurement.

Mrs. Verdes is following the assessment policy of VBCPS and gives formative and summative assessments in all areas
of the curriculum. She has been using class data to make instructional decisions given prior to her arrival. She will
see and give some mid-year assessments that will compare to beginning year data. This will give her an understanding
of the academic growth for many skills in the class.

Mrs. Verdes grasped our school wide discipline plan very quickly and follows the "Woodstock Way". She is aware of
different student personalities and is able to successfully redirect students who are having behavior challenges. She
continues to refine her classroom management skills and improves weekly.
