You are on page 1of 54

1. We need 3 Network adapters for each node in a 2 node cluster.

2. Please refer to below diagram showing 2 node cluster structure.

So we have a domain controller for authentication with IP 1.1.1.1
Node A has IP 1.1.1.2 joined to domain and Node 3 is 1.1.1.3

We have 3 nics per node

a. For Mgmt/Public (Domain N/W)
b. Heartbeat Nic starting with 10.10.10.10 and.11
c. Cluster comm IP 192.168.1.1,.2 and .3 as seen below

You refer the screenshots quickly and then we can work it out in our lab.

Inshort the below steps and then we can discuss verbally

1. Configured 4 servers 1 domain controller, 2 Node A & B, 1 Storage server

(activing like SAN)
2. Configured 3 nics on node A & B, 2 NICs on storage server
3. Configured storage server as San to present shared storage to Node A&B
4. Installed Failover Cluster Feature with Validation report attached.
5. Still need to install type of role I want in this cluster very easy can be done in
few mins
So I will show you that once we meet on Team Viewer.
.
A virtual disk will be created in C drive now.
Taking 1GB size for witness disk.
Now we have 2 disks Disk 01 and Disk 02 which are going to be presented to Nde A and
Node B

Before that we want to make sure our Storage server ISCSI network is the preferred one and
will be made according to below steps
Now go to node A and open iSCSI initiator
Put SAN IP in target
Need to just bring these disk online for NodeB and change the drive letters as to what were
configured in Node A
Lets Install Failover Clustering in Node A and Node B
