Research Proposal Inquiry

1. How do I become a better public speaker and what skills can I learn to help me reach this

goal?
2. Having recently thought about what I want to do in the future, I have frequently

considered going into law and/or criminal justice. I think that I have all the skills

necessary to excel in this field except for one, my lack of confidence in public speaking.

Having committed to pursuing a career in this field that I deeply enjoy, I dont want

anything holding me back. I want to be the best at what I do and public speaking is a big

part of that. In this inquiry project, I want to explore the skills, techniques, and lessons

that I can learn to become a better public speaker. From this inquiry, I hope to find the

skills that allow me to enjoy the career path I have chosen for myself.
3. I always knew that public speaking is an incredibly useful skill to learn and that it can

help you succeed both in and out of the workplace. However, I always thought that the

only way to develop public speaking skills was to just speak more. In this project, I

wanted to explore if there were any other ways to develop this skill. Having looked at

some sources and seen the many ways in which people grow their public speaking skills I

am very excited to learn more about this topic.
