Objectives:
Students will be able to use manipulatives (such as plants) to add and subtract.

Materials: cutout plants, scissors, ipads, penultimate, activboard, computer, notebooks.

Procedures:

2. hard quiz from brainpop to check for understanding (whole class)
3. Students cut out plants.
4. Students use those plants model addition and subtraction.
5. Teacher models, Student and Teacher models together, and Student models on
their own.
6. Teacher will use iPad to show the students how to write number sentences that
demonstrates the flowers that were cut using application Penultimate.

How do you accommodate students with special needs, non-native, and gifted: The
students will be able to attach their headphones to the proper technology and listen
to the material in their native language or in various avenues to cater to their special
needs such as closed captioning.
