You are on page 1of 3

+Guy ben micha Go to the recording properties tab.

Enable "Stereo Mix", click on its properties and click

"listen to device" and select Line 6 UX2. Now,
in recordings disable any other microphones you have and right
click UX2 set as default. Now click playback tab and disable your
onboard sound (you MUST now use the phones port on the front of your
UX2 for sound output, I use a 1/8th to 1/4" adaptor to plug my turtle
beaches into it) and right click Line 6 UX2 and set that as default playback de
vice.
Now use the RS2014 no cable patch, developed by Maxx53 on Github.
Select your interface, and for game path make sure VID Offset is (012C96EC)
and PID Offset is (012C96F4)
. Those values changed from the previous values in the remastered update so make
sure they are the same as I posted and it will work!?

Another tip for UX2 users. If you want to play rocksmith WITH guitar rig 5 or
amplitube 3/4 or even a DAW VST config, set up your amp sim with the ASIO UX2
instead of the ASIO4ALL driver. Now in rocksmith turn player 1 guitar volume to
zero.
You can now get sound from RS14 (the song track minus the rs guitar tone) AND yo
ur amp sim (your new guitar tone), as well as,
still getting hit detection in the game, but now you have premium tones at your
fingertips through your amp sim. The ONLY sacrafice is the tone switching will
not work, so I tend to use this only on songs which have the same tone throughou
t.?

1. Updated game
2. Set Audio to 48 kHz and 16 bits
3. Rocksmith ini: exactly as in this video, also changed MaxOutputBufferSize to
1024 but no difference
4. Set microphone volume to 5 after launching the game, before chosing profile,
10 dB boost
And I am still getting distortion. Guitar is very sensitive, the slightest touch
on strings makes the sound in game go BOOOOOOOOOO. Any ideas ? :)
Spent 5 hours trying to fix it, nothing helps although in windows in listening
to audio device the guitar sounds fine -.-?

I finally figured it out, and I feel like a moron, because the save was simply i
n the game's folder.. >.<
for anyone else who finds himself in this problem, or just for general knowledge
, I'll share what I found
first the game use a file named "LocalProfiles.json" to store the list of profil
es, every time a new profile is created, it will add it in this file, removing t
his file will not erase the data and progress, it will only make it inaccessible
...
it is possible to take it out, and go into the game, there you will have no prof
iles, create new profile, and with it have a new list file created, this list fi
le does not have your previous profiles in the list, and if you overright it/del
ete and put back the older, you will be able to see once more your old profiles,
although now the new created profile will be lost... his data exists, but will
never be accessible... I do not know how to modify the list outside of the game
secondly there is the data and progress file, and each profile has its own file,
the file will be named something long using latters and numbers, finishing the
name with "_PRFLDB", if this file is removed, the profile will still be on the l
ist, though when selected to enter the profile, it will act as if it's a complet
e new profile, creating the data file (with exact same long name) again... this
can be used to check which file is the profile you want to save, by simply movin
g the data file somewhere else, and entering the game.
to save your profile, you must have both files, if you don't have the profile na
me on the list, you cant enter it, and if you don't have the data and progress..
. well... no need to explain that.
this method cause a case where, you easily can copy and paste the list file (Loc
alProfiles.json) and by taking all the profile data files into a safe place, pla
cing only one profile with it, you can erase the other profiles, knowing that th
e data is not erase, cleaning the list leaving only the one profile you want, wi
thout ruining the others...
you can repeat this with all the copies of the list file you've made, for each p
rofile.
the case is, that you can split the list up, but you cant combine it back togeth
er (you can still use one of the copies and return things back) just as you cant
combine two different profiles from different saves, whom were never together.
this of course unless you know how to edit the list...
that is why I have a theory trick to make that happen, open the list with profil
e1 name, as its data is in as well, now create new profile having exactly the sa
me name as profile2, then erace the new data file created for profile2, and plac
e in the profile2 data, now the list theoretically will open both profiles.
where are these files?
well by testing a lot, I've found that the location changes depending on the sit
uation
first it looked complete rubbish, but it's quite simple if you understand it.
there are 3 situations as far as I know
1. you log in from steam:
if you have a valid copy of the game, entering the game through steam will save
the files online, so no need to worry, you just log in from anywhere and have it
downloaded to you.
2. you enter the game locally without steam, but with valid copy
in this case the game will save and open profiles from the directory of the game
no subfolders or nothing, the files will be there with the exe file
3. you use crack to overcome the steam, and basically crack the game
in this case the game will load the profiles from where the "SKIDROW" file tells
him, which is: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SKIDROW\the number in the skidro
w file
usually the number in the skidrow file will be the app id, which is "AppId = 221
680" so the profile save folder will be: ....Local\SKIDROW\221680
this number can be changed, and it will create another folder in the new name, k
eeping the old folder... allowing for some surd of slots for different groups of
profile lists
in the case where this folder is completely empty, the game will do what a valid
copy would do (in case that is opened locally), it will load the saves from the
folder of the game, and will create a profile list and data of the profiles cop
ies in that skidrow folder, after that, the folder wont be empty, and will load
only from that, the files in the game's folder can be even erased and it won't e
ffect nothing.
if there isn't data in the game's folder nor the skidrow, there will be nothing
loaded, and only create new profile will be avalable, although after creating a
profile the data and profile list files will be created in the skidrow folder.
the 'LocalProfiles.json' file, in the skidrow folder, will be named in small let
ters and I'm not entirely sure but think that it might not function when trying
to put it in game's folder, nor would taking the big letter file into the skidro
w will function... but it's quite easy to simply let the game do the copy work.
although I believe the profile data files can be copied between the two manually
To sum it all up
to save your profile, you will need to get the name of the data file, copy it, a
nd copy the profile list file. (2 files: LocalProfiles.json + profileid_PRFLDB)
and to load your saved files into the game, you will have to place them correctl
y to your situation (if you copied from game's folder, you put there, if from sk
idrow... there..)
I hope this will help anyone :D have a nice day guys.?
