emotions, talk about feelings with one another
Materials Needed:
Mad

Happy
Scared

Spinner with 4 different sections, make a few your own for


them to do

Motivation/Introduction: talk about emotions and the


mixture of them, how there are more than what we are gonna
talk about but these are the basic

Procedures: make the spinners

Modeling/Guided Practice: (show, follow me)?

Spin the spinner, act out the emotion or talk about that emotion
Ex: if it landed on happy I would smile, and say that the kids are happy
when they get candy or extra recess

Checking for Understanding (specific questions you will ask)?

Have them repeat what they are going to do and state their group rules

Independent Work
Thinking about the emotion they spinned, then sharing to the
groups
Closure/Transition:

Come Back together and talk about their emotions, if they


know the name of the other emotions. Switch to another
center by combining them
