Statement of Faith

I was born and raised in a Christian Reformed household, and am

still a member of the CRC, although I feel no ill will towards other
Christian denominations, as many of them have good things to offer as
well. I was baptized as an infant and in my teens publically professed
my faith. Ive had ups and downs in my walk of faith, but have always
come back to the cross. I know where my salvation lies, in that there is
no other way to Heaven than through trust and a whole-hearted
commitment to the Lord.
I hold true to a set of beliefs that has helped shape me into the
man I am today. First of all, I believe that I am not my own, but belong,
body and soul, to my Heavenly Father. I believe that the Bible is the
inerrant and infallible Word of God, and is the story of Gods love for
His people, given to us so that we might better know our Creator and
how to better serve Him. I believe that God sent his only Son to die for
the atonement of our sins, and we are forever called to live for Him,
one of the fundamental ways being to love our neighbours as
ourselves. I believe that the church is the collective body of believers,
united in the knowledge that were all made in Gods image, as well as
knowing Jesus died for each and every one of us. I believe in the
Trinity, and the power of the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of the
people. I believe that Christianity is meant to be shared with the
masses, not something that should be kept to ourselves.
