Conference Information
Purpose
Addressing the discrepancy between information on sex and actually making effective,
empowered decisions about sex. Students will be able to access information, tools, and
practice in communicating through and about sexual decisions

Date: March 10th: Auraria Campus Time: 9:00am -2:00pm

Whole Group Introduction and Guest Speaker
Breakout 1: Sex and the self
Understanding value systems, stigma, and shame.
Job and career options in health field
Birth control, anatomy, contraceptive options
Zumba: Physical Health and wellness/ Promoting healthy body image, self care, becoming comfortable with
yourself
Lunch
Breakout 2: Sex and Society
Media and sexuality: how pornography and other media may not be correct representations of sexuality.
How to be an active bystander: Street smarts: self defense, observation skills, and understanding what a risky
situation looks like
Consent, violence, and healthy relationships
LGBTQIA+ presentation
Whole Group Celebration of Learning and Dismissal
