6th Grade Solar System TPACK Template

The document provides details for a 6th grade science lesson on the solar system. The learning objective is for students to understand the organization of the solar system and interactions between its bodies. An online activity will reinforce these concepts by allowing students to visualize planet sizes, rotations, revolutions, and distances in a simulation, building on their prior knowledge of the basic structure of the solar system.

Online Activity
Pedagogy

In this activity students, will learn all about the solar system. Students
will see the difference between the sizes on the planets, how they
rotation and revolve around one another or the sun, and also distance of
the planets.

Before beginning the simulation, students must have some knowledge

of the solar system. They do not have to know a lot, just a general idea
because this activity will teach and reinforce a lot of information about
the solar system.
