On the piano, the keys to the left sound low, and the keys to the right
sound high.

Low sounds
High sounds Middle C is the note we use to help us find where the low
sounds and the high sounds start, because it is right in the middle of the
piano. Can you find Middle C on the piano? Have a go of finding all of
the low C notes, and all of the high C notes.

Music is written on a staf or stave. It is a set of five lines and four

spaces.

Lines on the staff are numbered from the bottom to the top.

Spaces on the staff are numbered from the bottom to the top as well.

Each line and space stands for a certain note on the piano, and is given a
letter from A to G, like the notes we have learned on the piano so far. The
Treble Clef is a symbol placed at the very start of the stave, and tells us
to use the higher sounds on the piano.

This is what the Treble

Clef looks like!
