Dear Elders:

RE: Clarification on request for funds

First of all, we would like to express our sincere condolences on the recent passing of Mr. Balunywa. We also send
our thoughts and prayers to you all and the family of Mr. Balunywa at this difficult time.

We would also want to thank all our elders, brothers and sisters for all of the trouble they have gone through to
support many of the family members who have been less privileged in one way or another over the years.

The purpose of this letter is to seek clarification on the following requests for funds:

1. Request for funds for constructions and renovations for the Balunywa Main House and its surroundings.
We received an e-mail with some information on this.
2. Request for funds to purchase land. This request came through Uncle Nyombi.

1. Who is the current owner of the house?
2. What criteria defines the primary contributors?
3. Naturally we would have expected some people from
the family of Mr. Balunywa to attend the meeting
because they are in the immediate neighborhood. But
none was present. Is there problem?
4. Adam is mentioned in the minutes but he is not on the
list of members present.
5. Who is the head of the clan?
6. The caretaker of the home should preferably be a
mature and responsible male descendant of the late
Joe Louis with at least one wife. He should not be
someone who divorced his first wife.

2 Purchase of land
You are free to purchase land and buildings in groups or
individually anywhere in the world and do whatever you want
with it. If you wish to purchase land to be communally owned
by the clan, then you need to address the issue of clan
leadership first. And of course, the clan leader must be a male
and the proper rituals should have been performed to prove
that he is the legitimate clan leader.
