Mungai, Christine. "Africa's 2016 crisis as 40 million battle hunger, and $4.5 billion needed
urgently - not all is hell though." MG Africa. N.p., 14 Feb. 2016. Web. 02 Apr. 2017.

Summary
In her article Africas 2016 crisis as 40 million battle hunger, and $4.5 billion needed
urgently - not all is hell though, Mungai discusses the water and crop shortage that is affecting
much of eastern and southern Africa. She goes on to say that many of the victims need financial
relief at this time, and that the main cause of these shortages is the el Nino currently ravishing
much of Africa.

Strengths
The article goes in-depth on many of the specific countries being affected, and uses
numbers to define what is needed, not big league words. The article also sights many of its
sources throughout, showing exactly where certain bits of information were obtained.

Weaknesses
The article covers some countries more so than others, implying some are better off,
when in fact they are suffering just as much. Also, the articles tone jumps throughout, as there
are times where it will talk about how great a certain part of Africa is doing agriculturally, then
continue to list off the effects of the drought and food crisis.

Relevance to Research Topic

The article is recent, and talks about the African continent as a whole, which is incredibly
helpful for my topic, Food Crisis in Africa. The multiple citations throughout the piece shows
the articles reliability, and its thoroughness makes it a helpful article I will undoubtedly use for
my project.
