Experiment # 3

In this experiment, we had built, test, and analyzed an application of

operational amplifier such as summing op-amp, subtracting op-amp, integrating op-
amp, and differentiating op-amp.
For a summing op-amp, we had observed that the voltage output is vertically
shifted by the magnitude of the dc input and the waveform is the same as the ac
input, but the magnitude of the voltage output is the sum of the dc input and the
peak voltage of the ac input. But the dc input is opposite of the output. Therefore, if
the sign of dc input is positive, the output is negative.
For a subtracting op-amp, , we also observed that the voltage output is
vertically shifted by the magnitude of the dc input and the waveform is the same as
the ac input, but the magnitude of the voltage output is the sum of the dc input and
the peak voltage of the ac input. But the dc input is the same of the output.
Therefore, if the sign of dc input is positive, the output is also positive.
For an integrating op-amp, our input voltage is in rectangular wave and the
output is triangular wave. For differentiating op-amp, the input voltage is triangular
wave and the output is in indefinite wace.
