When
Your second controlled assessment writing will be taking place on Tuesday,
24th January, 2017. You must arrive before or at Period 5 (room _C18_). You
will be given the task prior to the assessment on 12 th, January,2016.

How long
The session will last a full hour from 3:25pm to 4:25pm.

How many characters you can write


You are expected to produce at least 100 characters. Students aiming for
grade C or above will need to demonstrated extended writing skills and are
expected to produce over 200 characters for each of the two writing tasks.

To aim for A*
Study the marking criteria and ensure you are in the top of all three
boxes: 1) communication and content, 2) knowledge and application of
language and 3) accuracy.
Ensure all the requirements (all bullet points) of the task are covered
Ensure your tenses are correct and varied (past, present and future)
Ensure your use measure words where necessary
Ensure your characters are correctly written
Ensure you have expressed opinions and reasons for these opinions
Ensure you use longer sentences and linking words
Ensure your writing is a coherent piece of work

Hand in your task planning form (note form) in person before or on_19th,
January,2017_for it to be checked and approved. If you fail to hand in by this
date, you may not be allowed to use a note form.

What you can write on your form


50 characters + 5 pictures
Or 30 English words/words in pinyin
Or 30 characters + 20 English words/pinyin
They must be presented as one of the following: mini plan; outline;
mind map or bullet points
No codes are allowed. Codes include: drawings indicating a word in a
different way to its original meaning; different length of dashes for
different length words and initials of words for a whole sentence.

If your teacher is in any doubt whether you have used codes, your will be
asked to explain before your planning form is accepted. Its best if you draw a
couple of things to help you remember a whole sentence rather than
something for every word.
During the assessment, you will have access to a dictionary in addition
to your note form.

Topic questions in relation to Sports and Leisure

Answer these questions as fully as you can. To have your answers checked
and corrected, you must hand in your answers no later than_Monay,11th of
January. Once you are given the task, I will no longer be able to correct
your answers.
