Describe the instructional activities that will occur prior to the SRS activity and how you will
introduce the SRS activity: Before students start the SRS activity I will be going over with them what a
protagonist and antagonist are. I will go through a short interactive power point using the SMART board. At
the end my students will take a multiple choice Kahoot! to let me know as a teacher if they understand what
a protagonist and antagonist is, and if they can determine that character in a movie.

Type of session: Teacher-Paced Student-Paced
Identification of students:
Students will log-in so their individual scores will be available to you after the session
SRS activity will be anonymous
Briefly describe what will happen during the SRS activity:
During the Student Response System activity students will look at a series of pictures and determine if
that character is a protagonist or antagonist. This will be done by using Kahoot! As the facilitator, the
teacher will pull up the Kahoot! and display on the SMART board for the students to see the questions and
also the code to get into the game. Students will play on either their phone, laptop, or tablet and login going
to kahoot.it and typing in the game code. This SRS will be student-paced meaning that all students will
have a time to choose their answer until we move on to the next question. Even though this activity is
student-paced it should only take the class about 10-15 minutes to answers the questions.
As the teacher, have all the students login to the game and type in their name to keep track of the
class score and who needs help in what area. The materials needed for this activity are as follows: computer
for the teacher that is connected to the SMART board to show the questions, fully charged laptops or tablets
for the students to play the Kahoot! on, and lastly but most importantly Wi-Fi. Overall, this activity is short
and simple and gives a lot of good feedback at where the students might be. This will help the teacher know
where to start the lesson or what needs to be reviewed after this activity.
