Short-term goals that I want to accomplish in each of the following areas.

Preparation goals (prior to participating in the program)

The preparation goals that I want to accomplish during participating this program are I want to
get the knowledge about the early childhood education and get the cultural knowledge about the
country that I will visit for this program and get a new friends from around the world. And also
introduce my country to everyone who participates in this program. So, they know what
Indonesia is, how beautiful of Indonesia is and all the things about Indonesia. I can exchange the
culture from many people from various countries who participate this program. I can visit some
schools that teach the early childhood students and I can learn how they teach the students, how
they treat the students in the class, and how they make a good environment for the students to
make them enjoy in the school.

Professional and/or educational goals

The professional and/or educational goals that I want to accomplish in this program are I want to
be more professional in my job as a kindergarten teachers. As I know professional in here is the
one who has the occupation or job and he/she has a high competence on his/her job. I want to
improve my competence in this area (early childhood education). And also, I have a dream that
someday I can have my own kindergarten school. And this school is free for everyone. Free
school doesn’t mean that it will have a lack quality. I want to build the school that has a high
quality for everyone who need the early education. So, even they don’t have much money. They
can have a good quality school. Building the school needs more knowledge and more
competence. I hope that joining this program will give me chance to improve my knowledge to
accomplish my dream.

Personal development goals

Personal development goals while join this program that I want to accomplish.

I am the person that never go far from my house in a long time. I never separate with my parents
in a long period. The personal development goals that I hope in this program are I can learn to be
independent one. Who will leave in the country that I never visit, meet the people that I never
meet before. I will adapt with the new environment that I never see before. Hopefully, it will
build my personal development becoming independent one and being easy to mingle with the
new one. And improve my skills. One of my skills that I want to improve here is fluency in
English. I will communicate with the native in the country and it will trigger me to make a good
English speaking.

Learning about U.S culture and sharing your culture with others

America is the multicultural country. There are American, Asian, pacific island and latin
American. They gather in the country. Visiting the country means I can learn many culture in the
country not only about American culture but also all the culture from the people who come to the
country.

In here, I just want to talk about learning U.S culture. As I know U.S is the country that has a big
role for every country in the world. From economic side and also from the life style. It makes me
that I want to learn many things about the U.S.

It will help us to make a good relationship with the America and Indonesia. Sharing the culture/
exchange the culture from both countries. Indonesia and U.S can make better relationship in the
future.
