I am stating my desire to apply in the Taiwan Foreign English Teacher Program as an

English Teacher. It gained my interest after reading the news on the internet about this
opportunity that you are offering. It is my goal to expand my ability, strategies and
share my ability with foreign learners who are willing to learn new things in addition to
their knowledge, and capability that could help them widen their horizon of learnings.

I finished my degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2001 at AMA

Computer College at Davao Campus and pursued my career in the Non-Government
Office and private Company that I worked for before. During my tenure as an employee
of a private company I also took part in a community base institution such a
cooperative that appointed me as Board of Director (BOD). As a BOD I was part of the
information dissemination of our cooperative to our members at the same time teach
them the basic rules and regulations, by laws and other information that relative to the
cooperative. My Teaching career started back when I was a Kindergarten Teacher in
our Community for two years 2001 to 2002. In 2004 I took up a Bachelor of Law and
graduated with a Juris Doctor Diploma while working. I took the Bar Examination twice
however I never made it, but it does not mean that I will not try again. I took Education
in 2014 at North Davao College Panabo Campus earning 27 units for me to qualify for
the licensure examination for Teachers. In September 2016, I passed the Licensure
Examination for Teacher, eventually I took part time teaching jobs. Having a job that
gives security to my future and my family’s future is enough to settle and be contented.
However, my enthusiasm to teach pushes me to venture into a different path and take
myself out from my comfort zone. With this regard I want to grow more as an individual
to develop teaching profession. That is why to realize my dream, I wanted to pursue a
higher education and took up a Bachelor of Law. Even so it doesn’t stop me from
learning more about motivational strategies, and unconventional approaches to be at
my best for the benefit of my students and to be more effective for my future teaching
job. However, I still consider myself lacking in terms of the practice as a teacher since
I was not employed in any Higher Educational Institute, nonetheless it doesn’t
discourage me and keep my willingness to impart knowledge to my future students.
My educational background and my enormous interest in the development of the
students led me to join in different teacher training programs which honed my skills in
teaching the discipline I have chosen.

I believe that English is an extremely useful tool in communication in general your

knowledge both in writing and speaking will give you an advantage. The first step in
my opinion towards teaching an English subject, as a teacher I should consider it as
a dynamic process thus, the best learning strategies and techniques is to understand
the background, culture, style of every student and as a teacher I am willing and
flexible regarding on those challenges. As an English Teacher I will not focus on the
enhancement of the reading skill of my students but also the understanding on the
complexity and their ability to retain the whole process. I want to help the students to
read, speak and understand the language in the simplified manner by integrating
different reading activities and techniques, encourage to engage into a more
interactive learning for them to rapidly gain knowledge and confident while eventually
improving their comprehension skill. A thorough monitoring should be applied to gauge
the level of understanding for each student. During the result of every assessment, we
should give a special attention to the student who has unlikely development. Formulate
an approach that will stimulate his or her reading and writing ability towards the lesson.
Lastly, it is my dream to Teach in a foreign country wherein I would be able to learn
different techniques on how to deal students with diverse personality specially the
foreign students on which the culture, beliefs and discipline are different from what I
have known. Learning should be fun, productive, and significant for the learners to
enjoy the school education. Partaking one’s knowledge to students for their future
career is an immense pride for an educator to have, it always a great pleasure in
Teaching looking at your student become successful in their chosen field of endeavor.

It is my aim to match my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate

and dynamic teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school and to the
community where it belongs. I want to build my name and be a valuable teacher to my
colleagues and to the institution wherein my skills and knowledge will be challenged.
I want to be a great help to the institution and contribute to its betterment. I would love
to make this my stable career in the future. If given a chance that my application will
be granted, I want to become part of the institution for at least five (5) years. I would
