Dear Simeon,

I know you havent heard from me in a long time but,there is something that I
need to tell you.Training;how is it going?Are you still alive?Who is the corporal?Training
was hard for me;many people have many opinions about the army,its unfair Simeon
the army is based on that;one man must always have power over the
other(p44).Simeon one thing you have to keep in mind be as nice as you can to the
corporal,me and my friends had trouble doing that!Simeon,while in training my friends
had lots of tasks to do that was not right or just not necessary.Such as Himmelstoss the
corporal methods of educations,its hard I know a person who didnt make it through
training and he died.

Another thing I want to talk to you about is the war its tough,training do not
prepare you for the war,they do not prepare you for finding food when there's none
around you,they do not prepare you for the aftermath of the war.Simeon you have to
listen to me try your best to learn everything and work on your skills,the war is not what
you imagen.It was not what I imagine either!My team needed me to survive I was very
good at finding food Kat knows the way to roast horse-flesh so thats its tender(p.40),
those are words from my very close friend Paul.The war can leave a very big
impact,mentally.Simeon make sure you increase your skills,it will help you in the long
run.

One thing about the trenches;its a disgusting sight to see.The trenches are full of
roaches,insects and other unpleasing animals.This was one thing I had to deal with,
the rats are particle repulsive and fat (p.102),one thing simeon always save your food
for later never share them with people because they might eat all.Trenches is what they
call a place of safety and security,but I think its not, the rats on the front are big,they are
nothing like the ones we see back home I remember paul squeezing a rat and
throwing it over board.I am the oldest of the cling and have more experience I know
you are young and dont have much experience as me.Thats why I wrote this letter so
you can become like me.
