Dear Sir or Madame:

The project I have selected to work on, for this Senior Project, is to produce a relatively short
story which is intended to express the realities of depression and to describe the influence of
depression on daily life. An additional goal of this project will be to express my depression
since, well, I am diagnosed with mild depression. At this current moment, (1/30/17), Ms.
Lahey is the mentor who will supervise and, ideally, approve the mentored project.

Within the confines of the soon to be produced research paper, the question of: In what non-
medicative ways can depression be combated? is to be addressed thoroughly and directly. This
question will be answered in the research paper only after appropriate (significant) amounts of
research, both online and in physical book form, is achieved. Also, official interviews will need
to be conducted in order to achieve a genuinely accurate paper.

This project will be challenging for myself because of the fact that I, personally, am rather
indecisive given my preference to be neutral in most conceivable forms. Another potential issue
could be my own extremely absurd expectations of myself and the work produced by my hands.
Knowledge from the courses of Psychology, Chemistry and Biology shall be utilized in the
production of the research paper and the mentored project. The mentored project, in theory,
should be mostly completed, if not actually completed, in around 40 or more hours of efficient
effort. There shouldnt be any costs in order to produce the mentored project. (Note: costs are
only representative of physical capital).

I hope this meets with your approval.

Sincerely,

Ian Alexander McNamara
