Project: Cloning and expression of the gene of DNA gyrase from quinolone-resistant
Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Summary: This study was a part of project to examine mutations in DNA gyrase gene from
Quinolone-Resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Gene of interest was amplified, cloned and
expressed. Protein was extracted, analysed and purified and protein concentrations were estimated
as well. Compiled technical report for the same.

Project: Invitro Regeneration of Solanum lycopersicum by Plant Tissue Culture Techniques.
Summary: Surface sterilization of Solanum lycopersicum seeds was done and then they were
incubated for germination. The Leaf discs were used as explants and transferred to regeneration
medium for callusing and shoot initiation. Regenerated shoots were subcultured and elongated
shoots were transferred to M.S basal media for rooting. The whole new regenerated plant with
roots and shoots was transferred to soil, first under controlled conditions and then to field for
hardening.
