I have had Delani as a student in the band program at Pittsburg State University for five years and have had her in numerous classes and ensembles. It is within this context that I am able to speak to her character and ability Delani has been one of the most positive contributors to our musical ensembles at PSU in my 19 ‘years at the institution. She is one of the very best we have had. Her level of dedication to our ensembles and her preparation and interest in her coursework is exemplary. Delani was always very well prepared for rehearsals and engaged in the course discussions and presentations, She is thirsty for knowledge and I know that this desire for personal growth and improvement will continue as she moves into the field of music education. Delani is an outstanding musician and will bring that love and understanding of music to the students she will work with in the classroom. She has taught lessons and worked for a prominent music camp as you will see in her resume. I always tell my students the only way to learn to teach is to TEACH and Delani has taken this to heart, She has done extremely well in these venues and they have provided her experiences that many of her peers simply will not have as they try to gain employment. Delani is always just a great person. She is easy to get along with, even tempered, and a joy to be around.
