Examples:

Sally cant come tonight because she has an exam tomorrow. (no tiene permiso)

Allow Subject + allow + person + to + infinitive


Examples:

My parents allow me to arrive late on Saturdays.

Mis padres me permiten llegar tarde los sbados.

The teachers allows us to check the results with the calculator.

Los profesores nos permiten comprobar los resultados con la calculadora.

Be allowed to Subject + to be in the present + allowed to + infinitive


Examples:

I am allowed to arrive late on Saturdays.
