Philosophy of Education

I believe that teachers need to not only teach to the students different learning styles in

their classroom, and also include all students in activities. Teachers need to stop teaching at

student and learn how to relay the information in a way that they will all be able to understand.

My belief is that catering to the students learning in the classroom and making them all feel

included, participation will increase and students will continue to come to class enthused and

ready to learn.

The use of including my students is an extreme importance because throughout the year it

allows me to assess my students from the beginning of the school year, as well as allows me to

learn how each student works. For an example, if I find out that there are 3 different groups of

students that all function the same way I could make groups that allows them to work with others

that learn the same as them. For this I would set up different stations in the classroom that

explained the lesson, (i.e. hands on, visual, and verbal), and at the end of class students can

choose a station. By using this method I would instruct students to write a reflection so that I

could assess how it is improving their overall ability in the classroom environment.

Through the use of instructing my students through different ideas that appeal to them,

Im allowed to connect with students, improve their learning abilities, and make all students feel

welcome and included. I know that this is the best way to not only handle my classroom, but also

how I can effectively instruct my students.
