Artifact Description:

My bridge was inspired by a couple of examples that I saw online and from one that
created in my high school physics class. It is a bridge to help cross from one side of land to the
other since there is water in the bottom.

What you learned:

I learned to create a bridge using lines and the rotation tool to make sure everything was
even. Just like the classroom assignment it helped me to learn new ways to use the shape tool
and how to change the size of the lines because before I didnt know it even existed.

National Educational Technology Standards for Students:

2016 Standards

1. Empowered learner
2. Digital Citizen
3. Knowledge Contractor
4. Innovative Designer
5. Computational Thinker
6. Creative Communicator
7. Global Collaborator

Application of Skills Learned for the Future:

This activity can help students to show their creative side. Each student is obviously
going to create a different design for their bridge. All of the standard would be used in the
building of the bridge with the students but I think number six, creative communicator, would be
the one that is used the most. The drawing and model building used in my classroom also be used
to create automobiles or houses.
