WLE-292: ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS SIMULATION LAB

1. Introduction to SPICE simulation: Description of Spice, types of Spice, types of analysis.


2. Circuit description: Element values, nodes, circuit elements, sources, types of analysis, output
variables, commands, format of circuit files and output files, examples of SPICE simulations.
3. DC circuit analysis: Resistors, modeling of elements, independent sources, DC output variables, types
of output and analysis.
4. Transient analysis / AC analysis: Sources, output variables, output commands, response. AC output
variables, independent sources, analysis and response.
5. Analog circuit simulation: Analysis of diode circuits, BJT circuits, FET circuits, MOSFET circuits
and OPAMP circuits.

List of Experiments:
1. Simulate and study half-wave, full-wave, and bridge-rectifier using PSPICE.
2. Simulate and study diode clipper and clamper circuits using PSPICE.
3. Simulate and study emitter bias and fixed bias BJT and JFET circuits using PSPICE.
4. Simulate a common emitter amplifier using self-biasing and study the effect of variation in emitter resistor on
voltage gain, input and output impedance using PSPICE.
5. Determine the frequency response of Vo/Vs for CE BJT amplifier using PSPICE.
6. Simulate and study Darlington pair amplifier circuit using PSPICE and determine dc bias and output ac
voltage.
7. Simulate & study a CMOS inverter circuit using PSPICE.
8. Simulate & study an operational amplifier in inverting & non-inverting amplifier mode using PSPICE.
9. Simulate and study active low pass, high pass, and band pass filters using PSPICE.
10. Simulate and study class A, B, C, and AB amplifier using PSPICE.

7. Verification of sampling theorem for a sinusoidal signal.
