Reflections on Observation Task 1: Environmental in the Classroom

1. How does environmental print impact students language development, and their
reading and writing abilities?
The environment print help the children know that what labels refers to it.
When they see what on the board, they will know what it is and they will remember the
thing.

2. How do students of different reading levels use environmental print?


Some students try to spell each sound to know the words. Other can watch the picture
to know the words. Some children know how to read so they read immediately.

3. How does awareness of environmental print impact how students view themselves as
readers?
Children will try to read what on the labels by themselves. They will try to spell each
sound to know the word.

4. How does a school-home connection (based on environmental print) impact students'


literacy development?
In each area put labels, on each staircase put labels to help the children read.
If the teacher put on each staircase labels children will try to read to know where the place of the
thing that they want.
