Week 1
Date 1/29/2017-2/4/2017
During my first week at Game Ready Skills and development, Ricky Price met with
us as a group and discussed what his program offered to children and teenagers
ranging from 8-17 years old. He then put each of us in charge of reaching out to
different business and I was in charge of calling different AAU teams in Charlotte.
During this week I called AAU teams asking if they would be interested in
purchasing our Character education courses that are offered through Game ready,
along with sending out brief resume's. On February 1 st our first Game ready
basketball birthday took place at Covenant Baptist Church. During this time It was
my job to take pictures and upload them to social media. I also set the tables up for
the kids, filled up ice bins and controlled the shot clock during their intersession.

Date 2/5/2017-2/11/2017
Week 2
On my second week, I made calls to AAU teams to see if they would be interested in
offering Character education courses to their athletes, many were not interested. I
would call about 5-10 AAU teams daily. I would also have weekly meetings with Rick
on the phone. Later that week Rick moved changed my task to calling different
Private schools in the Charlotte area,

Week 3
Date 2/12/2017-2/18/2017
On my third week as an intern I continued calling Private schools in Charlotte. I
spoke with a lot if secretaries and athletic directors, about implementing Character
education courses to their students. We decided to change our list to private
schools, because parents are willing to spend money on their children during the
summer, and private schools are less likely to be on free and reduced lunch,
compared to title I schools on Beatties ford rd.

Week 4
2/19/2017-2/27/2017
During my second internship with MC3 sports/ Urban sports I worked all CIAA
basketball games and super Saturday at Bojangles coliseum and Hornets arena.
This internship was amazing, my duties included taking the MVP of each winning
team to the middle of the floor for pictures, finding Food lion sponsors and Navy
sponsors, guest services, halftime shows, fan engagement activities such as passing
out t-shirts and towels, and lots more. I got the opportunity to meet different
celebrities, and work on the headset during games. On Saturday we were
scheduled\ to be at the arena at 5:30am for the cheerleader competition and left
that night at 9:00pm. If I could, I would do this all over again.

Week 5
2/27/2017-3/4/2017
A month into my internship, I am still in charge of making phone calls to private
schools in Charlotte. One of my duties this week included making an excel sheet of
Private schools and their phone numbers.

Week 6
3/5/2017-3/11/2017
My duties for this week included making more phone calls to private schools and
sending emails. I would also come up with more ways to gain followers on social
media, and also figure out how we can get others involved in joining this program.
During this time my communications skills with others has increased, since I had to
make so many phone calls and it has also helped me with impromptu speaking.

Our second Game ready Birthday party took place, during this time we designed
tables, managed shot clocks, distributed Nike T-shirts out, along with posters. Prior

they adjusted everything turned out great.

YMCA. I traveled to Mooresville, NC to an AAU tournament to pass flyers out to
parents. We stayed outside for about one hour passing out flyers. That weekend I
also distributed flyers out to people walking in the parks and at the YMCA. At the
beginning of the week I also continued making phone calls.

organization. EY has offered to purchase shirts, food and materials needed for the
athletes.
