Count to 100 by ones and tens

Learni Objective

-Studen For the kindergarten class to practice counting by 10s and demonstrate it on paper

Teacher To assess the students to make sure they know how to count Ill have them fill out a
worksheet and turn it in for me the check

Lesson Structure and Procedures

steps. As a warm up into the lesson, the class will start by watching a video about counting by
tens, an tens to 100 and first Ill have them just watch it, then Ill play it again, and this time have
them sing along to it. After watching the video twice, Ill pull up the Smartboard and
have them c some students come up and count to 100 by tens.
After the warm up Ill send them to their tables and pass out worksheets that involve
counting to 100 by 10. The worksheet involves cutting, gluing, and them counting to 100. Ill
explain to to them how to do the worksheet and give an example of how to do it. Ill walk
around as
they do the activity to make sure they are understanding it, and once theyve
completed it
Ill have them turn it in, and play with unifix cubes to practice counting at their table till
everyone is finished.

Te The teacher will guide the students at the beginning of class with a video to make sure

- The teacher will also walk around to make sure the students understand what theyre

- The students get the opportunity to ask their friends for help while working and do
individual work too

make sure they can count to 100 by 10

how to count to 100 by 10

Differe Accommodations/Modifications

Focus S Special needs- If I have a student with special needs Ill work closely with them to make
sure they understand what were doing, and guide them through it, because it may be
harder for them to understand.
Auditory- We will watch a video that counts by tens to 100 for the students who learn

by listening. The song will have a tune that will hopefully get stuck in the kids heads

Itll help them as they work on their worksheet.


Visual- We will write on the board for the students who do better by watching and they

see how to count by tens to one hundred


Kinesthetic- For students who do well with hands on things they get the chance to use
unifix cubes to skip count by tens
Multiple intelligences musical- The video with a song counting by 10s to 100 will help

students who learn better by music


Multiple intelligences logical mathematical- The worksheet the students will do is all a
pattern because their counting by tens, which will be helpful for the logical thinkers

Classro Classroom Management

Class b The students will be reminded of what the expectations are and how to count by 10s
The students will also be reminded of scissor safety and not to use too much glue
The teacher will walk around a praise the students and encourage them as they are
working.
