May 9, 2017 Mayor Bailey Deputy Mayor Mosher Re: Councillor Resignation Dear Rachel and Peter, Please accept this letter as my resignation as Councillor for the Town of Lunenburg. It is with a heavy heart and careful consideration that | have come to this important decision. | have been dignosed with Chronic Lyme Disease and the treatment must be my first priority at this time. Treatment for the Peripheral Neuropthy Syndrome that is destroying the nerve inervation to my leg muscles is continuing and walking is now even difficult. ‘Treatment is expected to take anywhere from eighteen months to three years. Much of this will be IV medications for two hours every day and the treatment centre is in Plattsburg, New York. ‘This extended time committed for my treatment would seriously comprimise the time required to fulfil my Councillor responsibilities and | trust you and the residents of Lunenburg will understand my decision to step down Most sincerely, Brian Davis [|
