skyscraper was named after president of UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi Khalifa bin Zayed
Al Nahyan.

The design of Burj Khalifa was inspired by the patterning system of Islamic

apartments. Its height reaches up to 829.8 m with the support of buttressed core
structural system. In order resist the hot temperature of Dubai it was incorporated with
cladding system. There are 154 main usable floors. Apart from them, 46 spire level, 9
maintenance level and 2 levels below the parking area. As far as elevators /lifts are
concerned 57 lifts exist in building including 55 single decks and 2 double decks. Along
