by Victoria Cohen March 29, 2017

COLLEGE PARK, Md. Shortly before 11:30 p.m. this evening two armed men entered and
robbed a small home.

Grace Ford, 20; her sister,16; her daughter, 10-months; and her Rottweiler, Elka were home
when the suspects entered the house. The sisters were watching the nightly news while her
daughter was in the playpen when the 2 suspects came through the unlocked front door.

The robbers demanded money and jewelry and forced the sisters to go through the home and
hand over all of their valuables, estimated to be worth a total of $5,000.

When the sisters and the robbers returned back to the living room, Elka, who was sitting next to
the babys playpen, began to bark and one of the suspects fired three shots in its direction, miss-
ing each time.

When I heard the shots and the baby, I ran to the window, said a neighbor. The neighbor called
the police after hearing the commotion.

The two men left the house and headed toward the cemetery and drove off, neighbors were un-
sure of the specifics of the car.

The diapers were extra thick, there was about an inch left to the diaper so it didn't pierce, said
Grace Ford. Grace examined the baby and found a bullet was lodged in her diaper.

Police arrived on the scene minutes later, the suspects identities and location are still unknown.
They are described as 18 to 20 years old of average build. One was wearing a ski mask, and Uni-
versity of Florida jogging pants; The other, also masked, wearing a white shirt and baseball cap.

The Deputy said that police are still looking for the two suspects. If you have any information
please call College Park police.
